Bronco Raptor Hood Mount, Ditch Lights, Pillars

Bronco Raptor Hood Mount, Ditch Lights, Pillars

now moving up the truck.... hood mount, ditch lights, pillars

What vehicle is complete without a hood mount? *none* Or for better say, the hood mount/ditch lights/pillars totally make this Bronco Raptor a complete look.

Overall these ditch lights are an easy install. The wiring, as always, takes the longest. Your hood mount kit will come with a plate that attaches to the vehicle. We designed it this way versus just installing the pillar lights straight onto the vehicle due to durability and less shaking. By attaching the pillars to the plate, you will be able to enjoy your adventures with fast speeds or rock crawling without double thinking if it will stay put. You'll notice (1) of the metal brackets have a cut out for the passenger side antenna.

All About Wiring

The trick to wiring Bronco Raptor is to get it started even before attaching the pillars. Use a trim removal tool to pry the plastic accessory piece, guide M&R wiring harness under the hood and connect them to the pillars. As you can see, use heat to shrink the crimp connectors and/or electrical tape. Don't wait until you've installed the pillars onto the vehicle because then you will have a difficult time connecting all the wires.

This pillars are 40watts, 4,000 lumens,

White LED with Amber DRL backglow.

Use 2 AUX switches, choose the 10amps

Similar to the 2021+ Bronco, choose 2 or 4 light pillars.

Bronco Raptor Light Bars Install

Bronco Raptor Light Bars Install

Let's move on to the bumper light bars

These slim light bars are exactly what your Bronco Raptor needs to make it really look like an absolute beast. The type of Bronco Raptor that everyone notices on the road. Still gives it that nice sleek look, just enough to be noticed and appreciated.

These 2 light bar are pretty easy to install. We uses the same brackets that we have for the regular Bronco modular bumper. It's roughly a 10min install for either light bar, plus the wiring.

The light bars come with 6ft of wire which is enough to reach AUX switches. Decide which AUX switches you want to use. If you have more than one of the M&R light kits, you can put all the white light together on one switch; and all the amber DRL on another switch. Or you can separate your white light so it's not overpowering and you can choose what you want on. It really is up to you how you want to do the wiring.

Color choice:

*White

*Amber

*White main light with Amber DRL backglow

You have 2 options for the size:

30in or 40in. If the Bronco Raptor has a factory bullbar, the 30in is what you'll want.

Start of Bronco Raptor Design

bronco raptor...install started with the fog light kit

I wrote a post on a Bronco forum entitled "Southern California! Looking for the Bronco Raptor to test fit light kits!" Knowing that it has only been on the roads for a limited amount of time, and the chances that someone has it within reasonable distance from Los Angeles, was a long shot. However, I've always said "the one who doesn't try, doesn't succeed." This person also has trust me to keep it for a few days and design light kits without damaging his brand new ride. Not going to lie, I got a bit excited when there was a response in a couple of hours. Cool guy from Fontana who drove 1.5hrs for me. Extremely grateful for kind people like this.

I noticed the Rigid fog lights that came from factory. I started with taking them out and installing the M&R Fog Lights. It was definitely a challenge to remove them! Many different bolts and pins in hard to reach spots had me trying different tricks.

Curveball! The 2021+ Bronco doesn't have a plastic flap under the fogs, but the Bronco Raptor does. I had to go into CAD file, draw it, plasma cut it and make it work with the M&R Fog Light kit.

Here is the thing with getting a new vehicle in...there isn't much information on the web/YouTube videos about it. So here I am, under it trying to figure out how to take it apart.

Anyways, I made the M&R fog light work. The design is exactly the same as the regular Bronco. Your torx 40mm will be a great tool to have handy. It surely surpasses all my expectations and the owner of was very pleased with the design

*Total of 8 square 20watt light pods

*16,000lumens of crisp White LED with Amber DRL backglow.

*Rated to last up to 100,000 hours with an IP68 waterproof, dust proof build provides a robust durability for off-roading use.

*Designed to look OEM

I've go to research, or maybe someone can help me out. Do all Bronco Raptors come with Rigid lights?

Stay tuned...Thinking of adding 2 versions of light bars to the bumper, roof light bar, and pillar lights.
