The LED pods are dual function light color. It has main white LED light with amber DRL “daytime running lights” backglow. They are purely for aesthetics. It doesn’t give out much light, but more of a beautiful amber backglow. Something extra to make you stand out on the road.

- **PLEASE NOTE** If you are purchasing just mounting brackets and have different size pods to use, M&R doesn't guarantee correct fitment. It should, but not promised to fit other 3.2in light pods. We can't guarantee 100% fitment and will not accept a return on just brackets. Please do your own research and measuring before.

WIRING
M&R Automotive does provide a wiring harness to fuse 2 pods together. You will need to purchase a different power control module to connect the light pods together with M&R wiring harness and then need to extended the wire to an aftermarket generic wiring that you can purchase from Amazon/Ebay or create your own. Make sure it has 2 different buttons (1) for White light and (1) for Amber light.
In our install, we used M&R Wireless 8 Circuit Wiring Harness. This makes install much easier, no need to run any wires through the firewall, clean install.

Way too many ditch light brackets on the market that are overpriced for what they are. I found M&R brackets to be the right price. Clearances are good between the A-pillars, the hood, and the windshield. Easy installation. Best of all, it serves its purpose very well. I'm pleased with my purchase.
Pretty easy to install - I found beneficial to have a long twist tie to prevent the truck bracket from falling into the void but otherwise simple and clean.
Used it to mount a 3/8” NMO antenna mount. Super clean.
Brackets are chonky and sturdy. No wiggle.
Seen plenty of mountain using the hood bolts, but never one that uses the fender plate like this one. Makes a rock solid mount, with no bounce or vibration and is really low profile. Love it!
Quick heads up as it caught me by surprise because I did not watch the install video before purchasing:
These mounts use the bolts holding the fender on closest to the windshield unlike other ditch lights I've seen for the Rivian that mount to the underside of the hood. It was a little more involved to install them than I expected because of this but still very do-able for the average person. I would also say this mounting location results in a very stable mount for the lights, likely better than the hood mounted ones are. The clearance for the hood opening/closing and the windshield wipers is tight but clear.
I only bought the mounts as I had other plans for the lights themselves. Happy to say they fit the Baja Designs Squadron Pro's without issues as well.
FYI I have a 2022 so it fits the first year of R1T as well. I did have to tuck a weather striping / rubber element into the fender rather than put back where these mount. I did not notice this on the installation video so that is likely a year difference. It does not seem to be a critical element so I am not concerned.
