Factory fog lights are an afterthought. They throw a soft, short, low pool of light that's fine for a little extra glow on a lit road — and next to useless the moment you're in real fog, dust, snow, or off the pavement at night. An LED fog light kit fixes that: it replaces those factory fogs with a serious dual-color upgrade that actually cuts through weather and lights the ground in front of you.
Here's the full rundown — what a fog kit does, what's in ours, standard vs PRO, which trucks we build for, and how they install.
What a fog light upgrade actually does
Two jobs, and the factory fogs do neither well:
- Cut through weather. A proper fog beam is wide and low, laying light down onto the road right in front of the truck instead of bouncing off fog, dust, or falling snow and blinding you. That's where a yellow beam — an option on our PRO kits — earns its keep.
- Fill the foreground off-road. On the trail, a fog kit lights the near ground and the edges — the stuff a grille bar throws over and the headlights miss — so you can pick a line at low speed.
Do both at once, on both sides, and you've turned the weakest lights on your truck into some of the most useful.
What's in an M&R fog kit
Every kit is a complete, bolt-on replacement for your factory fog lights — it reuses the factory openings and hardware, so there's no cutting and no drilling, and it plugs in through included factory adapters. What you get:
- Dual color. Every kit runs a bright main beam plus a street-safe amber DRL backglow. The standard kits run a White main beam with the amber DRL. Our PRO fog kits — the Super Duty and F-150 Tremor — use PRO pods you can order in White or Yellow, both with the amber DRL.
- Sealed and durable. Waterproof LED pods built for real off-road abuse and rated for the long haul.
- The PRO kits go further. The Super Duty and F-150 Tremor step up to full PRO optics — a TIR (Total Internal Reflection) lens, 304-aluminum housing, and thermal management, the same optics as our PRO light bars — with custom 3D-printed shrouds holding two pods per side (a 20-watt wide fog beam plus a 40-watt driving beam) for an OEM-integrated look and maximum output.
- Purpose-built fit. Each kit is engineered for one truck's exact bumper — it drops into the factory fog opening and sits flush, not a universal pod with a bag of shims.
White, yellow, and the amber DRL
Most of our fog kits run a White main beam with the amber DRL — the brightest, crispest all-around setup, and great for lighting the foreground on the trail. On our PRO kits (the Super Duty and F-150 Tremor) you can choose White or Yellow: yellow penetrates dust, fog, snow, and rain noticeably better with less glare-back — the classic fog-light color, and the pick if you regularly drive bad weather.
The amber DRL comes on every kit, separate from the main beam: a soft, street-safe daytime accent that gives off little light and won't blind oncoming traffic, so you can run it anywhere. The high-output white and yellow main beams are for off-road use only.

Install & wiring
Every fog kit is a true bolt-on. You pull the factory fog units, seat the M&R kit into the same factory openings, and reconnect — no cutting, no drilling. Most kits include factory adapters so they plug into the factory fog wiring, and the higher-end kits include a harness that links both sides and runs into the engine bay.
From there you have two ways to power them: your factory AUX / upfitter switches if the truck is equipped, or the Wireless 8-Switch Harness — which runs the lights with no aux switches and no wires through the firewall, from a rechargeable remote in the cab. Wire the main beam to a switch (off-road only) and the amber DRL to a constant/ignition source so it runs as a daytime accent.
FAQ: LED Fog Light Kits
What does an LED fog light kit do?
It replaces your factory fog lights with a much brighter, dual-color LED setup — a bright white main beam (or yellow on our PRO kits) plus a street-safe amber DRL — that cuts through fog, dust, snow, and rain and lights the foreground off-road.
Which trucks do you make fog kits for?
Ford — Super Duty, F-150 Tremor, Bronco (modular and capable bumpers), Bronco Raptor, and Raptor Gen 1/2/3 — and RAM — 1500, 1500 TRX, 1500 RHO, 1500 Rebel, and 2500/3500. See the Fog Light Kits collection for the current list.
Do I have to cut or drill to install fog lights?
No. Every kit reuses the factory fog openings and hardware and plugs in through included factory adapters — no cutting or drilling.
Can I get yellow fog lights?
The standard kits come in White with a street-safe amber DRL. Our PRO kits — the Super Duty and F-150 Tremor — can be ordered in White or Yellow, both with the amber DRL. White is the brightest all-arounder; yellow cuts through dust, fog, snow, and rain better with less glare-back.
Are LED fog lights street-legal?
The amber DRL accent is street-safe and can run on the road. The high-output white and yellow main beams are for off-road use only.
How do I power the fog lights?
Through factory AUX switches if equipped, or the M&R Wireless 8-Switch Harness for switch-free control with no firewall drilling.
