Every vehicle-specific kit we build starts the same way: we get our hands on the actual truck. No guessing off photos, no "universal" brackets — we test-fit on the real thing until it bolts on clean. This is the story of how that happened for the Ford Bronco Raptor, starting with the fog light kit, and exactly how the install goes once the R&D is done.

The hunt: finding a brand-new Bronco Raptor to test-fit
When the Bronco Raptor first hit the road, there were barely any of them out there — and almost no aftermarket support. So I did the only thing I could think of: I posted on a Ford Bronco forum, "Southern California! Looking for the Bronco Raptor to test fit light kits!" The truck had only been out a short while, and the odds that someone nearby would see it and be willing to hand over their brand-new rig for a few days felt like a long shot.
But I've always believed the person who doesn't try, doesn't succeed. A couple of hours later, I had a response. A cool guy from Fontana drove an hour and a half to bring me his Raptor and trusted me to keep it long enough to design kits around it — without putting a scratch on it. I'm genuinely grateful for people like that; the whole Bronco Raptor lineup exists because one owner took a chance on us.
Step one: the factory Rigid fog lights
The Bronco Raptor ships from the factory with Rigid fog lights. Good lights — but if you want a brighter, dual-color, OEM-integrated look that matches the rest of an M&R build, they've got to come out first.
I'll be honest: removing them was a challenge. The Raptor hides a mix of bolts and pins in some genuinely awkward, hard-to-reach spots, and with a brand-new platform there was almost nothing on the web or YouTube showing how it came apart. So there I was, under the front end, working out the teardown as I went. A Torx T40 ends up being the tool you'll want within arm's reach for most of it.

The curveball: a Raptor-only flap we had to redesign
Here's where the Raptor bit us — and where the vehicle-specific work really earns its name. The standard 2021+ Bronco doesn't have a plastic flap under the fog lights. The Bronco Raptor does. That one extra piece meant our existing Bronco fog fitment wouldn't just drop in.
So I took it back to the drawing board — literally. I modeled the part in CAD, plasma-cut it, and reworked it until the M&R fog kit seated perfectly around that Raptor-specific flap. Once that was sorted, the rest of the design carried straight over from the standard Bronco: same mounting approach, same bolt-on fit, no drilling. It surpassed what I was hoping for, and the owner was thrilled with how it turned out.

What's in the Bronco Raptor fog light kit
The finished Bronco Raptor Fog Light Kit replaces both factory Rigid fogs — one order covers the driver and passenger side — and it's built to look like it came from the factory:
- 8 square 20-watt LED pods total (four per side), for a serious step up in usable light
- 16,000 lumens of crisp white LED, plus a street-safe amber DRL backglow that matches the Bronco's accent lighting
- IP68 rated — fully waterproof and dustproof for real off-road abuse
- Rated for a 50,000 hour lifespan
- Designed to look OEM — it fills the factory fog opening cleanly instead of looking bolted on
Installing the fog kit: what to expect
Because we did the hard part during R&D, the install itself is a straightforward bolt-on:
- Remove the factory Rigid fogs. Work through the factory bolts and pins — a Torx T40 handles most of them. Take your time on the hard-to-reach fasteners.
- Account for the Raptor flap. The M&R kit is built around that Raptor-specific plastic flap, so everything lines up where the factory piece sits.
- Seat the M&R pods in the factory opening. They mount using the factory location and hardware — no cutting, no drilling.
- Route the wiring to your factory AUX switches, or to an M&R Wireless 8-Switch Harness if your truck isn't equipped with upfitter switches or you'd rather skip running a wire through the firewall.
- Test white and amber before you button everything back up.

The finished look
You can decide for yourself, but the difference is hard to argue with — the dual-color pods fill the factory pockets and genuinely complete the front end.

Can I run it on the road?
The amber DRL backglow is street-safe — a soft cosmetic accent that won't blind oncoming drivers, so you can run it on the road. The high-output white beam is for off-road use only. Lighting laws vary by state and locality, so it's on the owner to know the rules where they drive.
That was just the start
The fog kit was step one. With the Raptor in the shop, we kept going — bumper light bars, a roof bar, and ditch lights — until there was a full lineup. Next up in this build was the bumper light bars: see the Bronco Raptor light bar install →
FAQ: Ford Bronco Raptor Fog Light Kit
Does the Bronco Raptor come with fog lights from the factory?
Yes — the Bronco Raptor ships with factory Rigid fog lights. The M&R kit replaces them with a brighter, dual-color, OEM-style upgrade.
Does the fog kit require cutting or drilling?
No. It's a complete bolt-on that uses the factory fog location and hardware. We designed it around the Raptor's unique under-fog plastic flap so everything lines up.
What tools do I need?
Mostly a Torx T40, plus patience with a few factory bolts and pins in tight spots. The full install is in the video above.
How bright is the Bronco Raptor fog kit?
It uses eight 20-watt LED pods (four per side) for about 16,000 lumens of white light, plus a street-safe amber DRL backglow. It's IP68 waterproof/dustproof and rated for a 50,000 hour lifespan.
How do I power it?
Wire it to your factory AUX switches, or run the M&R Wireless 8-Switch Harness if you don't have upfitter switches or want to avoid running a wire through the firewall.
