The Ford F-150 has been America's best-selling vehicle for decades — a truck that does everything from the daily commute to the job site to the trailhead. But no matter how it's optioned, it leaves the factory with headlights tuned for one thing: a lit road at legal speeds. The moment you're on a dark two-track, backing a trailer at a campsite, or running a fire road at night, you out-drive that light fast.
This guide covers every bolt-on LED kit M&R Automotive builds for the F-150 — light bars, ditch lights, and more — across the current model years, with real specs, honest fitment notes, and how to choose the right setup. Everything here mounts using factory openings and hardware. No cutting, no drilling.
First: find your F-150
Ford builds a lot of F-150s, and the front ends differ enough that fitment matters. Here's how our kits break down — pick the row that matches your truck:
- 2024–2026 F-150 (the refreshed current truck) — the deepest lineup: 30in and 40in bars in SLIM and PRO, single or dual, plus ditch lights.
- 2021–2023 F-150 — its own kits: dual 30s, a single 30in bar, and ditch lights.
- F-150 Tremor (2024+, modular bumper) — has its own fog light kit and 40in bar. See the Tremor fog + bar guide.
- F-150 Raptor (Gen 3 refresh, 2024+) — a full lineup of its own: single and dual 40s in SLIM and PRO, modular and standard bumper bars, ditch lights, reverse, and a guard plate.
Most of this guide focuses on the 2024+ standard F-150, with a dedicated 2021–23 section below and links out to the Tremor and Raptor kits.
2024+ F-150 light bars: SLIM vs PRO
The grille bar is the centerpiece of most builds. Every size comes in two builds — SLIM and PRO — and the choice comes down to output and optics.
PRO — the brightest, longest-throwing build
The PRO uses a TIR (total internal reflection) optic for a tighter, longer beam, a 304-aluminum housing, and active thermal management. It's a dual-color bar — pick a White or Yellow main beam, always with a street-safe amber DRL. Best for distance and high-speed running. Available in 30in and 40in.
SLIM — lower profile, lower price
The SLIM keeps a tighter profile and a friendlier price with a wide Spot + Flood pattern that lights up a broad area up close. Choose White, Amber, or dual White + amber DRL. Available in 30in and 40in.
Here's how the PRO and SLIM beams compare, zone for zone:

30in or 40in? Single or dual?
Sizing is about how much light you want and how your grille looks. The 40in fills the width of the grille for the widest, brightest wall of light; the 30in is a cleaner, more subtle look. Prefer symmetry? The dual 30s run two bars for a balanced, aggressive front end.
| 2024+ F-150 bar | Build | Beam options | Price from |
|---|---|---|---|
| 30in Light Bar SLIM | Slim, value | White / Amber / dual | $284.99 |
| 30in Light Bar PRO | TIR optic, premium | White or Yellow + amber DRL | $459.99 |
| 40in Light Bar SLIM | Slim, value | White / Amber / dual | $349.99 |
| 40in Light Bar PRO | TIR optic, premium | White or Yellow + amber DRL | $604.99 |
| Single 30in Light Bar | Clean single | White / Amber / dual | $284.99 |
| Dual 30s Light Bars | Symmetrical pair | White / Amber / dual | $509.99 |
2024+ F-150 ditch lights
Ditch lights mount at the base of the hood and throw light out to the sides — the corners, switchbacks, and work areas your grille bar and headlights can't reach. The Standard kit runs a focused Spot beam; the PRO steps up to a wider Driving pattern and a dual-color white + amber DRL look.
2021–2023 F-150 kits
Running the previous-gen F-150? We build kits engineered for the 2021–2023 front end too — same bolt-on, no-drill approach.
Also for the 2021–23 F-150: the Single 30in Light Bar (from $284.99) for a cleaner look, and Ditch Lights (from $109.99) for side coverage.
Special models: Tremor & Raptor
Two F-150 variants have their own front ends — and their own dedicated kits:
- F-150 Tremor (2024+, modular bumper) — a purpose-built fog light kit and a 40in bar. Full write-up in the F-150 Tremor guide.
- F-150 Raptor (Gen 3 refresh, 2024+) — a deep lineup including dual 40s PRO, single 40s in SLIM and PRO, modular and standard bumper bars, ditch lights, a reverse light, and a guard plate.
Wiring & control
Here's exactly how the bars wire up. M&R doesn't include a wiring harness with the bars — instead, each light bar comes with over 6 feet of wire, enough to reach your F-150's AUX switch wiring on its own if your truck is equipped. If your F-150 doesn't have AUX switches, you can source a generic harness (Amazon/eBay) or build your own.
No AUX switches? The easier route is the Wireless 8-Switch Harness — it powers your lights with no AUX switches and no wires run through the firewall, controlling up to 8 accessories from a rechargeable magnetic remote in the cab. Wire the white/yellow main beam to a switch (off-road only) and the amber DRL to a constant/ignition source so it runs as a street-safe daytime light.
Here's the connection guide for the PRO bars:

Installation
Every F-150 kit is a complete bolt-on using factory openings and hardware — no drilling. Some grille bars require removing the grille for access, and trucks with active grille shutters have specific fitment; each product page spells out exactly what your setup needs. Most installs take an evening with basic hand tools. Here's a full 40in PRO bar install:
White, amber, or yellow? Choosing your beam
White is the brightest, longest-throwing, most natural light — the default for open, fast running. Yellow (on the PRO bars) cuts through dust, fog, snow, and rain far better and reduces glare-back. The amber DRL is a street-safe daytime accent you can run anywhere. The white and yellow main beams are for off-road use only — too bright to point at oncoming traffic.

Which F-150 years do these fit?
We build separate kits for the 2024–2026 F-150 and the 2021–2023 F-150, plus dedicated kits for the F-150 Tremor and Raptor. Order the listing that matches your truck.
Do I have to cut or drill?
No. Every kit bolts on using factory openings and hardware. Some grille bars require removing the grille for access; each product page notes exactly what's needed, including for trucks with active grille shutters.
What's the difference between SLIM and PRO bars?
PRO uses a TIR optic, 304-aluminum housing, and thermal management for a tighter, longer beam (White or Yellow + amber DRL). SLIM is the value build with a wide Spot + Flood pattern (White, Amber, or dual).
How do I power and control the lights?
Each bar has 6+ feet of wire to reach factory AUX switches. No AUX? Use a generic harness or the M&R Wireless 8-Switch Harness for switch-free control — no firewall drilling.
Are they street-legal?
The amber DRL is street-safe. The white and yellow main beams are for off-road use only.
